Maida Hewton Bio

A little about Maida...

Maida is a southern Ontario native,
born about forty years ago;
plus or minus, depending on the day.

She makes a home with her husband and
their blended family of four young adults,
one English bulldog and three cats.

Her previous and present careers:
Forestry Technician
Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Structural Steel CAD business
Environmental product business
Author and publisher

She still actively experiences all but the first two.

Maida is member of Reef Check, a volunteer organization dedicated to preserving and promoting global coral reef health.
A portion of her book sales profits are donated to Reef Check.

Other educational pursuits have included conversational Spanish, two years of a Bachelor of Science degree, travel consultant classes, hospitality and boating courses.

Her husband and she enjoy their 35 foot Pacific Bluefin power boat, featured in Double Up, on Lake Erie as much as possible during the short Canadian summers.
